FANTASY LADY

I wish I had...

Dree Hemingway's style (ooh love those shoes!)
Alexa Chung's hair (I had a haircut last month, but it's just not as cool as Alexa wears it)

Chloe Sevigny's swagger

Lou Doillon's body and probably her accent
How about you, what's your fantasy lady?

NEW SCHOOL

What were we doing when we were 14 years old? Well, we've never been featured (or was chosen as potential cover girl) on an awesome cult magazine like LOVE, that's for sure. Which is why we are at awe with blogspot's style rookie and self-confessed dork Tavi. The stylish, Rodarte-loving 8th grader just landed on the pages of Brit magazine LOVE. Look at her, isn't she just the cutest little stylish thing? LOVE her. The cover of LOVE's New Blood: The Young and the Reckless issue went to Sting's daughter Coco Sumner though (pictured below Tavi's study), which also rocked. I guess little miss Tavi still has to work on the reckless part? Which one do you like though?

TIE ME UP

One of my favorite NYC lifestyle brands Sophomore just released its Fall 09 collection and I gotta say I'm not disappointed. The collection evokes comfy-cool, very much like its self-described easy breezy designer Chrissie Miller. I'm especially crazy about the tightlaced, boudoir-inspired pieces. It's just like a corset, minus the physical discomfort. Check out more of Chrissie's stuff at sophomorenyc.com.

ACID GREEN

This is a shoot from Manila Bulletin. It's very eco and very... organic, if you know what I mean. Recylce shirt from Bayo and white dress by Michi Calica-Sotto for Bonne Bouche. Trippy, baby!

CRASH DIET

Okay, I need to lose weight. High-wasted pants are back (or were they ever out?). Check out the 70s-inspired high-waisted pants from Acne Jeans. I'm loving that second one in boucle print. More from this site:

CHLOE BUNNY

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Chloe Sevigny. It stemmed after watching her in Kids and then Gummo and then Boys Don't Cry and then I found out that she's friends with Lesley Arfin, my favorite writer next to Hemingway and JD Salinger.
This season, Chloe debuted her second collection with Opening Ceremony. The concept behind the collection is menswear made to fit women, it's like a his and hers thing. Chloe babe, you know I heart you, but I'd have to admit, with the exception of the leopard print cardigan Lissy Trullie is sporting and the gladiator shoes, I'm not too crazy about your Fall 09 collection for Opening Ceremony. Looks to me like a confused collection, to tell you the truth.

WE ARE WOLVES

WE ARE WOLVES, ENVY US.
